Tontine GL accounts

This Page of Tontine configuration allows you to configure the General Ledger accounts for booking of transactions for each of the Tontine savings products. The fees have already been defined on the first tab Tontine default Settings.

How do you configure tontine GL accounts?

To configure tontine GL accounts, go to System/Configuration/Tontine configuration/Tontine GL accounts. A screen like one below appears.

• Tontine GL account: Select from the drop down menu the appropriate GL account for the tontine savings product.e.g. 210320. The GL accounts should have been created under Accounting/Chart of Accounts.
• Commission: Select from the drop down menu the appropriate GL account where the commission will be booked e.g "440120". The commission amount should have been defined on the Tontine default Settings tab.
• Booklet fees. Select from the drop down menu the appropriate GL account where the booklet fees set in the previous tab will be booked e.g. "440125".
• New GL Account click on the New GL Account command button to create new GL accounts.
• Reset Fields: Click on this button to clear the GL accounts set so that you can select new ones.

Click on save to save the settings.
